Hi all, we're aware some of you have been having issues recently with the Audi A1 RMC radio and the CarPlay module blanking out since some recent iPhone updates were rolled out

Please download the file link below and apply the software update to your car using the following steps:
 

1. Please download the ZIP file and extract all of the contents of the file to a FAT32 Format memory stick no larger than 8GB 

2. The files should be copied onto your memory stick onto the ROOT Directory - that means outside of any files or folders, and directly onto the memory stick and then eject the memory stick from the laptop

3.  locate the USB input connected directly to the carplay module - when this was installed, it should have been routed somewhere accessible in case you needed to update anything 

4. Switch the engine on and switch to the CarPlay side (this applies even those who have the black screen issue - when you hold your carplay switch toggle, you should hear the little click as normal)

5. Keep the engine running and insert the memory stick, and wait patiently about 5 minutes, your screen should come back on within this time frame and you should see a prompt on screen

6. The prompt should read: "Factory configuration file found, would you like to upgrade?"

At this point scroll to the left and click OK

7. Once you click OK. the second prompt should appear which reads: "Update successful, 3 successes, 0 failures"

It's crucial that there are 3 successes and 0 failures for the update to be completed properly.

 

8. This is the point at which we restart the system to apply the update and complete

Take the memory stick out and click OK to restart
